Save Our Himalaya First (SOHF-Nepal) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the Himalayan region from the devastating effects of climate change. Established in 2010 and registered with the District Administration Office-Kaski, we work tirelessly to address environmental challenges, promote sustainability, and support the communities who call these mountains home.
With the Himalayas being a crucial part of the global ecosystem, our mission extends beyond Nepal. We collaborate with national and international stakeholders to advocate for stronger climate policies, promote biodiversity conservation, and implement solutions to mitigate climate-related risks.

Why the Himalayas Matter?
The Himalayas are more than just towering peaks—they are home to diverse wildlife, rich biodiversity, and millions of people who rely on them for water, agriculture, and economic survival. However, climate change is putting these mountains at risk. Rising temperatures, glacial melting, unpredictable rainfall, and extreme weather events threaten not just Nepal but the entire South Asian region.
If we do not act now, the consequences will be catastrophic—leading to water shortages, agricultural decline, biodiversity loss, and increased natural disasters like landslides and floods. SOHF-Nepal is committed to taking action before it’s too late.
